Office Air Conditioning Canberra
The right office HVAC setup can measurably lift productivity. The wrong one causes complaints from the moment staff arrive.
We design office HVAC for open-plan floors, cellular offices, meeting rooms, and mixed-use tenancies across Canberra CBD, Barton, Deakin, Bruce and out-of-town business parks.

Common challenges
- Uneven zones — hot desks near windows, cold desks near vents
- After-hours conditioning driving up bills
- Meeting-room heat load spikes during occupancy
- Noise from ceiling cassettes disrupting concentration
How we solve them
- VRF systems with per-room control
- Occupancy-sensing controllers on meeting rooms
- Ducted with individual zone controls per office
- Return-air placement designed for even circulation
FAQs
Design around how the premises operate
Meeting rooms, perimeter desks and internal rooms have different occupancy and solar loads. A floor-wide thermostat may not reflect the conditions at the desks receiving complaints.
Map occupancy, glazing, operating hours and existing control zones. Confirm the landlord's base-building services and which equipment is the tenant's responsibility. Ventilation and cooling are separate requirements: an indoor split unit alone does not necessarily supply outdoor air.
Define access, commissioning and ongoing care
Agree access to ceiling plant, after-hours working windows and any controls/BMS coordination before pricing a fit-out.
The proposal should identify model numbers, design assumptions, electrical scope, drainage, controls and any exclusions. Request the relevant drawings, commissioning records and operating instructions as part of the agreed handover. Specialist compliance requirements must be confirmed for the actual building and application; a general service page cannot certify a site.
For preventative maintenance, specify equipment covered, visit frequency, reporting, repair approval limits and response arrangements. Pricing depends on existing plant, site access and operating constraints. Discuss these details during an onsite assessment rather than treating a generic price band as a completed commercial quote.
